In this post, we explain how to stop or start 3DExperience Platform Services with a script. You can find the instructions below, or skip to the bottom to download the files.

Using a text editor, like Notepad or Notepad++, create two files:

Stop3DEXP.cmd (the extension could be .bat or .cmd)

To stop the services, use the following commands in the Stop3DEXP.cmd script:

REM Script to stop all 3DEXP services
net stop "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DPassport TomEE"
net stop "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DDashboard TomEE"
net stop "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DSpace TomEE"
net stop "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DSpaceNoCAS TomEE"
net stop "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x federated TomEE"
net stop "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x Full-text AdvancedSearch"
net stop "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DComment TomEE"
net stop "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DNotification Node"

Things to note: The Windows command being used is net stop and net start. The next argument is the service name. If the service name contains a space the entire service name must be contained in double quotes, as shown. When starting the services, the 3DPassport service should be started first.

To start the services, use the following commands in the Start3DEXP.cmd script:

REM Script to start all 3DEXP services
net start "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DPassport TomEE"
net start "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DDashboard TomEE"
net start "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DSpace TomEE"
net start "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DSpaceNoCAS TomEE"
net start "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x federated TomEE"
net start "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x Full-text AdvancedSearch"
net start "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DComment TomEE"
net start "3DEXPERIENCE R2017x 3DNotification Node"

Place the files in a handy location. When ready to execute the scripts, RMB (right mouse button) select the file and choose the Run as Administrator option.
