Updated License for 3DSpace Index Now Available

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform’s 3DSpace Index includes an embedded license expiring on February 29, 2024 for on-premises deployments. This article describes how to prevent any malfunctions of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform search capabilities that may occur after February 29, 2024.

For all on-premises customers, the 3DSpace Index service includes an embedded license. This license is expiring on February 29, 2024 for many 3DEXPERIENCE on-premises deployments.

NOTE: Customers using the Dassault Systèmes cloud are NOT impacted by this license expiration issue.

What is the 3DSpace Index? 3DSpace Index (formerly called “Full-text Search Server”) is a back-end component which indexes 3DSpace ENOVIA data. It does not have any front-end functional feature displayed on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform UI.

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform’s 3DSpace Index includes an embedded license expiring on February 29, 2024 for on-premises deployments. If an expired license is not updated, the CloudView server in 3DSpace Index will stop indexing new or changed data. When this happens, new or changed data is not reflected in user search results as expected.

To check your 3DSpace Index license status, open the 3DSpace Index Administration Console. Select the Help menu, then select License.

 

In the image below you can see the license expiration date will occur in 48 days.

To avoid an interruption in service the license file can be updated. Please refer to QA00000041600 for upgrade requirements and to download the new license if required.
