Calling all CATIA experts! Dassault Systèmes announces the CATIA Buildings and Infrastructure Contest, open now until January 25, 2025. CATIA users who are passionate about architecture and design are encouraged to submit their best building or best infrastructure designed with CATIA.
Winners in each category—building project and infrastructure project—will receive recognition as a CATIA champion, access to industry experts and special versions of CATIA, visibility on social media, and the opportunity to present your projects worldwide. Submit your iconic designs today in either the building project or the infrastructure project category.
Submission Details
Submitting your design is as simple as uploading files to a post in the CATIA Buildings & Infrastructure community. You must submit three HD images of your project, a two-minute HD video of your project, and a description of your project. Judging Criteria
All submitted projects will be evaluated for the following:
- Design innovation, including originality of references, parametric design, and architectural vision.
- Technical feasibility, including physical realism, design model in real life, and production model in real life.
- CATIA usage and knowledge, including how CATIA usage is showcased, complexity of the model, and usage of parametric technology.
- Sustainability, including carbon footprint, description of technology, and the scalability of the project.
Prizes
The two contest winners will reap rewards of visibility and access:
- Visibility on CATIA social media accounts and the 3DS community.
- Status as a CATIA Champion, which includes access to official certifications, insider tips, access to team activities to help improve CATIA, temporary test licenses, and opportunities to showcase your success and build your personal/company brand.
- Presenting your project during global events, such as the Paris 2025 CATIA Buildings & Infrastructure conference.
- Access to subject matter experts, including exclusive access to key CATIA experts and leadership, attendance at CATIA events to speak about your experience and project, connection with CATIA global communities to connect with other experts, and invitations to Champions-only events and community groups.
Timeline
The contest is open now until January 25, 2025. Winners will be announced February 10, 2025.
