The Razorleaf helpdesk routinely receives requests for assistance related to search in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Customers frequently report not being able to find recently created records in 3DEXPERIENCE. Records created a week or a month ago are returned in the search, but records created today do not show up.
I find that when I talk with most people about Model Based Enterprise (MBE), their mind immediately shifts to Model Based Design/Definition. This is natural, because most people equate the concept of ‘model based’ with the transition from 2D drawings to 3D models.
Although many clients have migrated to Dassault Systemes License Server (DSLS) there are a few who are running legacy systems and are unable to move from the legacy IBM License Use Manager (LUM). But, often legacy systems often need to be updated, whether an old server needs to be replaced or an older operating system needs to be updated, or in this case there is a need to run LUM on the newest Microsoft client Windows 10.
In recently reviewing Razorleaf’s 15+ years in business and several hundred PDM/PLM implementations, I came to recognize a pattern. Of all of those implementations, just two were for brand new startups.
Attention ENOVIA-EXALEAD Users Dassault Systèmes has identified a software issue for customers/partners running ENOVIA Full Text Search server with EXALEAD on V6R2012x/V6R2013/3DEXPERIENCE R2014x. These users may encounter problems on the ENOVIA Full Text Search, starting January 1st, 2016.
