Notice for Aras Innovator Users

On January 14, 2020, Microsoft will officially end support for Windows 7.

As a result, Aras will end support for Windows 7 in Aras Innovator 12.0 SP6.

Internet Explorer 11

The original version of Internet Explorer 11 was released on October 17, 2013.

On January 15, 2020, Microsoft is scheduled to release Microsoft Edge Chromium.

While Microsoft will continue to support Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, the introduction of the new Chromium-based Edge browser in January will positioning it as the go-forward browser for enterprise customers.

As a result, Aras will end support for Internet Explorer 11 in Aras Innovator 12.0 SP6.

Subscribers that cannot move off the Windows 7 or Internet Explorer 11 platforms will still be able to use previously released versions of Aras Innovator still under active support.

Please see the Support Matrix page on the Aras Subscriber Portal to see the list of currently supported versions of Aras Innovator.

Target Resolution:

Subscribers running Windows 7 or Internet Explorer 11 should plan a platform migration before upgrading to Aras Innovator 12.0 SP6 or higher.  The main impact on Subscribers moving off of Internet Explorer 11 to Edge, Chrome, or Firefox is that some client-side JavaScript methods have Internet Explorer specific code and will not just transparently port to other browsers.  Subscribers may need to engage with Aras to resolve the migration, if they do not have the skillset in house to migrate the client JavaScript code.
