ShareVis
ShareVis is a context-sensitive, SharePoint based set of Business Process Management solutions. It seamlessly adds complex Document Control and Web-based Form Automation capabilities to SharePoint without programming. As an add-on to SharePoint (WSS and MOSS), ShareVis solutions add functionality to SharePoint without changing the use model or nature of the underlying environment. The ShareVis suite of products is developed by Winshuttle and sold by select resellers world-wide. ShareVis has three components DocEx, FormEx and DynEx.
DocEx includes ShareVis’ Workflow Designer which adds lifecycle support, change management and change control to SharePoint document libraries. Its Visio-like interface allows process owners to easily create workflows to automate complex business processes without programming. It utilizes a swim lane process methodology with activities and transitions.
FormEx uses InfoPath in combination with Sharevis Workflow Designer to author process-enabled, intelligent, web-based forms. FormEx forms do not require users to have InfoPath to use a form and provide a level of dynamic functionality not available in InfoPath, for example:
- automatically trigger workflow based on form values
- automatically fill in form with workflow data
- automatically assign participants based on form values
- control each workflow participants view of the form
DynEx integrates the other ShareVis solutions with Microsoft Dynamics GP. It allows Dynamics users to participate in processes that originate outside Dynamics, allows dynamics data to be automatically and dynamically pulled into ShareVis forms, allows ShareVis forms to update Dynamics data and allows ShareVis processes to trigger Dynamics processes.
