As we all know, the biggest challenge of any migration proves to be loading files with all references intact and knowing the size of your migration. CADFIT by Razorleaf insures you a quality implementation and ultimately, user acceptance of your system.

CADFIT by Razorleaf cycles through file sets to gather information about the files and the external references reported by the files. The information is loaded into a database for data extraction in a variety of formats.

Standard reports that are created are:

• All parents with missing child references
• All parents with child references that are not within the intended load set
• Duplicate files – same name, same content
• Duplicate files – same name, different content

The results database contains information necessary to create additional reports.

Examples include:

• File counts by SolidWorks version
• File age bracket reports
• Alternate locations for missing files
• Files with reported locations on client machines
• Custom property usage summary

Although these reports are typically used to help correct problems prior to load to PDM, they are invaluable for identifying and correcting problems even if there is no plan to move to PDM.
