Nothing would explode, but that myth would certainly be busted. Design automation goes far beyond the simple configurable design, and automation need not wait until a design is completed and fully documented to be valuable. 
ENOVIA SmarTeam has a number of integrations to third party software applications like CAD, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. Occasionally, after installing SmarTeam Editor with the Microsoft Excel Add-in or PLMDB Add-in for Excel, the add-ins may not appear when loading Microsoft Excel. This can happen to either add-in, or both at the same time. Luckily, one solution to this problem is relatively simple – although it does involve the Windows Registry.
