Recently, Razorleaf was asked to develop a proposal that would deliver PLM as a managed service, kind of like SaaS (Software-as-a-Service). One way to offer PLM as a managed service is pure SaaS (like Arena Solutions). If you’re not familiar with Arena, think of SalesForce.com or Gmail. Another way to offer PLM as a managed service is to take traditional PLM software and host it in an off-premise environment where it can be managed by a third party.
